Workplace Charge Scheme Grant

The government's Office for Zero Emissions Vehicles (OZEV) offer a grant to support the installation of charge points at work. This grant specifically named the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS), provides up to £350 per charge point for the installation of up to 40 charge points. The grant can contribute up to £14,000 towards your charging infrastructure. Your manufacturer or installer should support you with your application. How do I qualify for the Workplace Charging Scheme?

Any business, charity or public authority can apply. You must apply online before installation as you can’t claim retrospectively.

It’s not a requirement to have plug-in vehicles as part of your fleet, but you must express an existing or future need for the business

The charge points and installer must be OZEV approved

The scheme works on a voucher-based system

If successful you will be emailed a voucher code which you can then present to your installer who will use the voucher to claim the grant after the installation is complete.

The voucher is valid for 120 days once issued
