The Kia EV6 Launch!
Following Kia's EV6 launch event at our Crewe and Burntwood dealerships, we thought we'd share some highlights of the event and explain why you should be excited about this spectacular new EV.
The Set Up
The set up required a combined effort from both our staff and the Kia set up Crewe and took almost 8 hours. Our own staff helped to clear the showroom floor to allow the Kia set up crew to erect the stage and configure the lighting and electrics. Despite taking a long time, the presentation of the event was incredible and made the effort completely worthwhile.
The Customers
In Brief, the event's were a roaring success, the customers came in, keen to find out what the car had to offer and left astonished with the cars design, features and innovation. This was backed up by the fact that across both sites, we sold four EV6's on the day and took the details of countless others who were either interested or booking in for a test drive.
A little bit about the car
The EV6 has a spacious, simplistic interior, relaxation seats and premium audio which gives a sense of luxury, creativity and functionality. It is the latest model in their Kia EV range with Kia announcing that they will launch a further six bespoke EVs by 2027. Recycled plastics have also been utilised throughout the interior.
The EV6 will spearhead their new EV range which will all follow a similar design. The number 6 is a representation of the size of the vehicle with this particular model being a midsized crossover, leaving room below for hatchbacks and saloons and above for SUV’s.
It is the first Kia to use the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). “E-GMP is the culmination of years of research and development and brings together our most cutting-edge technologies.” The E-GMP platform is compatible with rear- and all-wheel-drive layouts and can accommodate a 72.6kWh battery pack for a range of around 310 miles alongside 800V hardware for charging speeds of up to 220kW which should charge from 10% to 80% capacity in 18 minutes.
Powerful and sporty
The Kia EV6 is a fully electric crossover that is capable of 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 161 mph.

A cabin developed with you and your journey in mind. Flat floor, relaxation seats (available on GT-Line and GT-Line S) and enough space for all the things you want to bring.
Your safety
The Kia EV6 is packed with safety features. Forward collision-avoidance assist acts like a second pair of eyes in case it senses an immediate collision. Lane Keep Assist keeps you from unwittingly drifting out of your lane due to sleepiness or inattention.
